REM-Fit Fitness Activity Tracker Review
sites where you can make money from tracking your steps!
I am a big fan of the FitBit Flex. The REM-Fit fitness activity tracker is similar to the Flex but has a few modifications. The most noticeable difference is the OLED display, which shows you the time, your number of steps, calories burned, Active points, distance, and more just by tapping the screen!
Another advantage is that the REM-Fit Fitness Activity Tracker comes with two bands and a belt clip. The bands have an advantage over the FitBit bands because they have an extra secure loop to keep it in place! Having that belt clip for treadmill days is nice too; we don’t always use our arms to walk!
The REM-Fit Fitness Activity Tracker is splash-proof, but it’s not water-proof. Because is it a smaller, lesser-known device, it doesn’t sync up to apps like LoseIt, Walgreens, Achievemint, or other sites where you can make money from tracking your steps!
When wearing both the FitBit and the REM-Fit on the same arm at the same time, I got very different step counts. The FitBit seems to be a bit more accurate, but my specific device may just need to be troubleshooted.
Additionally, while this is a fitness tracker manufactured by a mattress company, and the emphasis seems to be all about everyday athletes achieving a healthy and active lifestyle by getting the best sleep possible for maximum recovery and comfort, achieving sleep points has to be put into the phone app each time you go to sleep and wake up.
If you’re familiar with the FitBit, you know you have to rapidly tap it to put it into sleep mode, but you can also back-log your sleep hours into the app if you forgot. Not only does this functionality not exist on the REM-Fit, but it also doesn’t actually tell you how you slept the way the FitBit does, it just gives you “Sleep points” for how much time you slept.
- OLED display screen
- Comes with 2 bands and a belt clip
- 5-7 days battery life
- Can use as a watch
- Tracks steps, distance, sleep points, calories burned, active points
- Not compatible with other apps like LoseIt, Achievemint, or Walgreens
- Not water-proof
- Sleep mode has to be configured through app–can’t be put in manually
The REM-Fit Fitness Activity Tracker has some cons, but it also has a lot of pros.
Some of the negatives for me, such has being able to sync with other sites, may not matter at all to you! I definitely love the OLED screen and the different bands and belt clip features! REM-Fit also makes an adjustable memory foam pillow which is awesome!
