5. Make-ahead smoothies
If you’re in a rush, there’s no better breakfast than a fresh, nutritious smoothie.
Fruit is off-limits for keto followers, although the diet permits small amounts of berries, so here’s what you’ll do: Freeze half-a-cup of raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries, all in their individual airtight bags.
In the morning, blend one portion of frozen berries, a cup of almond milk. And add two spoonfuls of protein powder, then top it off with lots of ice and blend. That’s your perfect fast-andeasy breakfast right there.
6. Make your granola mix.
Cereal is an all-American breakfast; it’s easy, fast and nurturing. Cereal though, at least the store-bought kind is not keto, so you must make your own.
Get creative, make your granola mix and add chia seeds. Flax seeds, almonds, coconut flakes, and every other nut & seed you can find. Top your granola with almond milk or coconut milk and dig in.
Pro Tip: A little powdered cinnamon makes a big difference.
7. Ready-made cabbage hash browns-Keto Breakfast
You’ll love this idea because if there’s one thing ketomaniacs miss are potatoes. Shred a large cabbage, then mix it with 3 eggs
until you get a paste. Season it with salt and pepper and fry in individual portions. You can enjoy your keto hash browns right away, but you can pat them dry and freeze them piled up in an airtight container. Enjoy a crispy keto hash brown anytime, just microwave it or heat it in a skillet.
8. Enjoy some keto bread
Is this a thing? Yes, it is, and it’s delicious. To make a fluffy no-carb bread, separate a few egg whites from the yolk, whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff.
On another bowl, mix egg yolks with roughly the same amount of cream cheese and slowly incorporate the egg whites in (be careful not to lose too many bubbles.) Spread the mixture in a baking pan and bake for fluffy keto bread that will stay fresh for several days.
9. Have some bacon bites for breakfast.
To make bacon bites, form small cylinders with bacon using a toothpick. Fry them and pat them dry. Fill them with eggs and bake. The result is a bunch of one-biters full of flavor and proteins. Your new favorite snack will keep for several days in the fridge. And you can warm them up in the microwave oven.
10. Goat cheese and bell pepper frittata
Frittatas are like pan-sized quiches or gigantic omelets. Panfry all the vegetables and aromatics you want in butter. Then add a mixture of whisked eggs and crumbled goat cheese.
Let it cook through and allow it to cool before saving it for later in the fridge. Cut yourself a slice and have a hearty breakfast. You deserve it.
